The Healthcare Association of Hawaii (HAH) is a non-profit organization representing health care providers in Hawaii. Founded in 1939 as the Hospital Association of Hawaii, it merged with the Hawaii Nursing Home Association in 1974. In 1987, the name was changed to the Healthcare Association of Hawaii to better reflect its membership. In 2001 the Home Care Association of Hawaii merged with HAH, forming the only association in the nation representing the entire continuum of care. The HAH membership now includes all of the acute care hospitals in Hawaii, two-thirds of the long term care beds, home care agencies and hospices, and other related provider organizations.
